Lake Bluff Garden Club

Membership

Lake Bluff Garden Club includes up to 40 members from Lake Bluff, Illinois, and surrounding communities, and we're proud to include a wide diversity of ages and backgrounds in that membership. Some members have been with the club for years and some are new residents of our village. Some are grandparents, some have school aged children, and some have no kids at all. Some nurture large gardens on large lots and some live in condos. And some of us have no gardening experience! We are bound by our passion for growing things, for protecting the environment, and for serving Lake Bluff.

Our Meetings and Activities

We hold general membership meetings most months. Each Lake Bluff Garden Club meeting features a presentation or activity of interest to the members in addition to the conduct of general business. We vary the schedule and location to accommodate the busy lives of our members as much as possible. Social time precedes and follows each meeting, often with shared food involved. Our village planter effort is a fun activity but not our only one. An annual garden walk of member gardens lets us appreciate the varied talents in our group. At the end of the year, we celebrate our successes with an annual meeting and lunch.
